What a stunner! A Swedish midcentury ceramic wall plaque of a stylised and vibrant blue bird, designed by Göran Andersson (1935 - 1989) for Upsala Ekeby. Andersson was lead designer in the 1960s and this piece dates from between 1961 and 1965. It’s signed GA on the back, along with the UE and design marks (9052). It’s approximately 27.5cm long and 23cm high with a depth of around 1.3cm. A wire has been attached by a previous owner for hanging. Buyers are advised to check hanging fittings before siting any piece. A blue-tiful piece of Midcentury art that will make you smile every time you pass it in your home! 💙💙💙 Postage to UK only - Royal Mail 2nd Class....more
