This is something a bit special - a little bit of midcentury ceramic history! This is Bertil Vallien’s house number one from the Bagdad series, produced by Gustavsberg between 1966 and 1970. There are seven buildings in total in this iconic series and this one is chamotte with a stunning midnight blue glaze. Vallien originally started as a ceramicist in 1955 before moving to glass. He designed the Bagdad series for Gustavsberg in 1960. The underside is marked BW (Bertil Wallin), as he later changed his name to Vallien to avoid confusion with a silversmith of the same name. A wonderful and rare thing! UK delivery only. Despatched by Royal Mail - Special Delivery...more
