Spool’ Lamp Components – Volkswagen Cylinder Barrel., Volkswagen Hub Cap., Bespoke Machined Aluminium Plates., Welding Wire Spools.. The ‘Spool’ Lamp is created by combining the cylinder barrel and hub cap.. Bespoke machined aluminium plates allow the two components to sit together.. The centre of the hub cap has been cut out and soldered to the top of the barrel., the lamp holder is attached to it.. The shade is created from three copper coated welding wire spools which have been welded together., and is reminiscent of a skeletal lamp shade.. The lamp is fitted with a 1.8m linen braided cable with inline switch and UK plug.. This particular lamp has been given a finish inspired by urban art., a long time passion of mine.. Bespoke options of this lamp are available on request and are made to order.. Bespoke options will take 1-2 weeks.. The lamp shown in the photos is available straight away.....more
