Gunnar Nylund was, without doubt, one of the leading greats of 20th century Swedish ceramic design. These miniature Christmas plates were part of a series released by Rörstrand to commemorate his 50 years with them. Each plate features one of his much-loved annual blue and white designs. The plates are 8cm in diameter - I’ve included a picture next to a 50p piece for scale. They can be displayed and can also be hung on a wall. I will supply in a box, as shown. (Originally the boxes carried five plates each.) Part of the clear lid of the box is missing on one corner, but is otherwise in good vintage condition and is a bonus to have.
