A corner shelf consisting of 3 levels made in a simplified tramp art style with old wooden pegs. Dating from the 70s this piece is in great condition for its age and has only lost a couple of small pieces in the back corner rim, which is barely noticeable (see photos). Tramp Art is a style of woodworking which first emerged in the late 1900s. Some of its characteristics was the reclamation of cheap and available wood such as cigar boxes, crates, pegs, or any wood available to use. With the use of simple tools, glue and nails the art was in the layering and making of geometric shapes and patterns. The movement was adopted worldwide and became most popular during the US depression and world war years, thru to the early 1970s. This piece would look great on a cornered stairwell. A beautiful example of brief movement, this piece stands at 79cm. it is 41cm at it widest and 28.5 at its deepest. NOTE: As a large piece this will need to be posted by courier. Therefore please message me first so I can assess from your address the courier cost to be added to the total. 🙏🏻...more
