This is a very high quality large Tranekaer of Denmark mosaic coffee table, they started making these in 1974 & were individually produced, no two are the same & all numbered (this one is number189) the table design was by architect Gorm Lindum Christensen & the mosaic by graphic artist Rolf Middelboe, they are made of rare & precious American & African hardwoods such as Padouk, Afromosia, Tiama, Sucupira, Bibolo, Wenge & Kosipo, apart from the outer frame, this one is made of Wenge, they are made up of multiple cubes of these woods of which this table has 5184! It’s is in excellent condition with very minor signs of wear. It measures 151cm long, 89.5cm wide & 50cm high.
