An uber chic set of 2 twin handled soup bowls with matching saucers from Poole England c. 1950s. pop The beautiful colour combination of mushroom and sepia, later coded as C54, was one of the first five they developed. The twintone glaze, which can be described as semi-matte or vellum because of its smooth feel and soft sheen, is a characteristic style of Poole pottery. With this particular set, the inside of the bowl and the front face of the saucer are mushroom, whilst the underside of each is sepia. Bowl - H: 4.7cm D: 12.5cm Saucer - D: 18cm ~~ All items are sold as seen.
