Unique Brass & Cabochon Drinking Set

This brass set consisting of a tray, unique styled ewer (jug) and 6 mini goblets all embellished with Cabochon gems of Turquoise, Red Coral and Lapis Lazuli is a stunning display piece or could be used for tea/shots of all kinds. It truly makes a statement and would look great on a bar cart/bar. I believe it is Moroccan as I found comparable sets but not quite to this standard. It also could possibly be of Turkish origin, but despite searching I have found nothing with a ewer in this beautiful shape. It brings to mind the famous 60’s photos of Talitha and John Paul Getty relaxing on their rooftop in a Moroccan Souk. The tray is 29cm in diameter The pitcher stands at 25cm by 12cm at its widest. The cups stand at 8.5cm tall and are 4.5cm in diameter. It would definitely date back to the mid century, but for its age it is in good vintage condition. There is one cabochon missing from the lower handle area of the pitcher (see photos), but it does not distract from the piece at all....more
