Carved from a light wood (probably Boxwood) and waxed to a glossy deep brown finish… this holder has developed a lovely patina. The finished look is reminiscent of a tree trunk. Its a stunning rather unique piece that has impact on its own. This piece has an inserted gilded metal insert that will hold a slightly larger than normal taper candle but can be held firmly with melted wax.
