Measuring over a metre in both width and length, this very large abstract oil composition would certainly make for a statement piece in any interior. The painting features large planes of colour, in a very calming palette of blue, grey, brown, white and black. As you study the painting closely, you begin to notice pops of colour within and amongst the sections, such as green, orange and red. The painting is incredibly textured, and features several areas of impasto. We get a sense of the artist’s movement as he or she works her way across the canvas, moving left and right and up and down. The blocks of colour have been applied in a very considered way, resulting in a very well balanced composition that is very pleasing on the eye.
