Beautiful delicate chair with fine and detailed turning on the legs. Very light and pretty. Made from what looks like elm, the old dark varnish has been removed and finished with soft beeswax which shows the wood off beautifully. The chair would have originally had a rattan base but this has been threaded with heavy weight jute thread and finished with a seat pad. The seat pad confirms to UK fire regulations and is filled with wool which is naturally fire retardant and very soft. The wool is encased in wool guard fabric and finished in heavy weight striped cotton. Show less...more
