This hard to find small late Victorian Hen on a Nest dish is said to have been made for carrying Scrambled Eggs but was mainly a decorative item it is 6.5 inches high, 7 inches long and 5.5 inches deep and is hand painted and features a multi coloured hen sitting on a yellow wicker basket nest while protecting eggs, it is in excellent condition for its age and has no chips or cracks, there are a couple of black marks on the base of the dish these appear to be where protective pads were put on it, this would make a great addition to any collection, please see photographs for condition...more
