Designed by Gerald Benney for Viners in the 1960s, these dessert or cake knives have handles adorned with the 'Bark' texture developed by Benney and used both on affordable cutlery, and his own silversmithing commissions. The texture has the benefit of making fingerprints invisible on the stainless steel - a bonus for the exacting 1960's dinnerparty host! The Studio/Bark cultlery range were recently relaunched and prove poplular for the design conscious customer today, however this set is from the 1960s and appear to be unused, as they retain their individual plastic coverings in the original box.
