A fascinating vintage book “Patchwork quilts”, this is a classic book written by Averil Colby, an expert in the craft. First edition, published in 1965 by BT Batsford Ltd, London. Colby explores in detail the history and development of patchwork, focussing in particular on Britain and America. Has some lovely colour plates, as well as monochrome plates and diagrams. In good vintage condition. The boards and binding are in good sturdy order. The jacket shows some minor wear and creasing commensurate with age and use. There is a name inscribed on the fly leaf and faint mark where a label might have been. Please do check the photos thoroughly as these form part of the description.
