This monkey has a connection to one of Opto's founder, Brian, as he grew up seeing him swing from a shelf for most of his childhood! This Enesco rope monkey was made in Japan, however was purchased in the 1970's in Charleston, South Carolina, whilst some of Brian's family was on holiday. It had pride of place for a couple of decades, however designs change and he ended up in a box for nearly 30 years! This is where Opto comes in, bringing life back to this special and rare thing! It's is made from green rope, wrapped around a wire frame, that allows you to 'pose' the monkey and have hime hang from just about anywhere. He still has his original green burlap shirt too!
