These are a fantastic pair of Shelf Pottery vases from, Halifax, England circa 1970's. Shelf Pottery also known as Shelf Concept was a studio pottery in Halifax, England that produced a wide range of stoneware, decorative and kitchenware, founded by Graham Alcock who also designed the pieces. I was fortunate enough to find two of the same design in different forms and the pattern still has me reeling. The delicate navy blue splatter against the purple is striking and I just think they look wonderful together.
