Vintage 1970s Face Pot for serving Pickled Onions. Very similar in style to Sylvac, but made in Portugal. Measurements are as follows ~ 9cm Opening, 16cm Height Including Lid, 8cm Base Novelty serving vessels featuring anthropomorphic vegetables were a big trend 60s and 70s and what we love most about this is that it was completely normal to use something as crazy and quirky as this on your Dining Table! For our overseas friends - pickled onions were often on our 1980s childhood dining tables during summer, loved by some - loathed by others!! This lidded pot would also make a fun addition to the kitchen to store knick knacks! As always, we have picked this piece as it will look equally at home in a retro or modern aesthetic. In very good vintage condition, but please note that there is a small chink near the spoon hole - it appears to have been glazed over, so more than likely happened at the point of manufacture.
