A very well executed modernist landscape composition in oil, painted in 1978. This charming oil study depicts vast farmland with cottages on the horizon. The artist captures the characteristic cloudy skies of the British countryside and matches it with the rich browns of the ploughed fields. The painting has a wonderful textural quality that not only adds depth to the painting but also captures the earthy and organic character of the natural landscape.
