Large vintage 1930s (hand written date of 1942 inside but I've seen the same edition with a hand written date of 1938, so this one was likely given as a gift a few years after its publication) hardback book with board cover. Full of adventure stories featuring female characters as the leading ladies, with wonderful black and white and two colour illustrations. Wear/marks/slight peeling to the book cover and spine tears/wear. Page foxing/marks, a few small tears/disconnected pages at the bottom and one disconnected illustrated page. Name/date written/stuck (old envelope) on the inside of the cover. Still readable, it's just had a lot of love and use over the years!...more
