Vintage 30s Floral Spode Gainsborough Large Plate

Large dinner/serving plate or possibly decorative/wall hanging plate in the Gainsborough design (not stamped) with a rare gadroon scalloped edge. Diameter Approx: 11 1/2" (28 1/2cm) Markings suggest this was made in July 1939 ("L" with "39" below). It is also impressed "Copeland Spode Imperial" and has the markings "x1" and "3" as well as the company logo "Copeland Spode Great Britain". Some marks/wear from age & use. A "paint" drop on the front in white. Some marks under the glaze. Slight faint crazing under pattern. Few tiny "dents" on the surface. All hardly noticeable & in great overall, still usable condition....more
