Large hardback directory book full of local advertisements, a classified index, information on events, military, the country council, magistrates, geology, towns & villages & their residents (private & commercial), trades and more! An amazing reference book for local/general history, genealogy and a wonderfully aesthetically pleasing cover too! Some wear to the cover and pages, slight page foxing (mainly to edges), a crease to the corner of the front cover & a few dents, page one has some damage/holes to the bottom and is slightly detached from the spine (held in place by being attached to the advertising page before it), the last page is also slightly detached in the same manner, a few slightly creased pages, some small watermarks to the last page/back of the book inside and the original fold out map has been removed and is no longer with the book. Still in amazing condition overall and very much usable/readable....more
