Meet ‘Moonshine’. A vintage, Art Deco, drinks cabinet. The top was stripped, restained in a walnut stain, and protected in a hard wax oil to accentuate the mahogany grain. Gold paint was added to the rim, plinth and paws of the feet, and an Art Deco inspired wooden applique applied to the rim to add some interest to the piece. The body of the cabinet was painted in ‘Peacock’, a bright teal, with blue, turquoise, green undertones. The backboard was papered in Emma J Shipley’s ‘Animalia Amazon’ Wallpaper. The whole piece was ptotected in a satin varnish, to give a lovely soft sheen. She has a fully working original lock and key, and a detachable, USB rechargeable, motion sensor light.
