A classic vintage Austro-American 'biomorphic' coffee table by Henry P. Glass. This table is constructed from bent-ply with a teak veneer and thick circular glass top. Due to its organic shape which appears irregular from some angles and symmetric from others, this design has become known as the 'biomorphic' coffee table. The wooden structure is made of teak plywood, which allows it to be slender yet strong and very sculptural in shape. An excellent example of mid century design. A great centre piece for any room. In good vintage condition. The glass is free from any significant scratches or chips. The teak veneer has been historically repaired and does show signs consistent with age and general use.
