Vintage Bagley Mushroom Shaped Flower Frog Vase

Vintage 1950s Bagley Jetique Mushroom Shaped Flower Frog Arranging Vase with Hand Painted Polkadots. Measurements are as follows ~ 14cm diameter across x 4cm height 5.5cm dia base 6cm x 3cm opening for the frog. With its stylised shape and lemon, white and red spots, this black glass Toadstool shaped glass vase has a real magic roundabout feel! It works well as an ornamental piece, or make the most of the multitude of holes in the removable ‘frog’ to do some creative flower arranging with multiple fine stemmed or dried flowers. Bagley Glass started out as bottle-makers in 1871 in Leeds, Northern England, branching out into crystal and pressed glass in 1912. But in the 1920's and 1930's and after the war (after 1945) they became major manufacturers of art deco pressed glass, continuing until 1975. As always, we have picked this piece as it would look equally at home in a retro or modern aesthetic. In very good Vintage condition, but please note that the glass does have some light surface scratches which we have tried to document in our photographs.
