This vintage butter dish was made in Japan in 60s/70s and is designed in the shape of a half barrel with a lid slightly wider than the dish. It is marked on the bottom 'an tseapain tir a dheanta' which apparently means 'made in Japan'. There is some crazing to the glaze but the two tone brown colour is still lovely and bright. It measures 6cm to top of lid, 11.2cm diameter dish and 12.3cm diamter lid. Although it was designed for butter the round shape suggests multiple uses. A very handy little storage pot. Please browse my shop and if you are interested in more than one item message me so I can adjust the postage cost. All items are carefully packaged with used or reusable materials before being sent to their new homes....more
