Vintage Black Gunmetal Ceramic Fish Glug Jug / Vase. Measurements are as follows ~ 24cm Height, 9cm x 6cm Mouth Opening, 10cm x 9cm Base This Fishy Pitcher from Dartmouth Pottery in Devon is a perfectly quirky ornamental piece for a little touch of retro seaside, or as a wonderful vessel for some fun flower arranging. We love the original Gurgle Fish, the character and detail is far superior than their modern reproductions! We believe this gunmetal black colour *may* be from the 1960s, as we have pieces with a similar finish from this period. The brilliant ‘glug’ when water is poured from the fish’s mouth is so distinctive that they were once marketed as 'A jug that gurgles’. This piece will easily sit alongside more modern neutrally toned ceramics, and as always, we have picked it as it will look equally at home in a retro or modern aesthetic.
