These lovely brass bookends are both decorative and useful. They've clearly been well used and may have spent some time exposed to the elements as they have genuine verdigris at the base. I've removed much of the dark tarnish to reveal the lovely brass and copper tones beneath, then waxed and polished the surface of each to preserve the patina. As with all my vintage and antique pieces these have evidence of their previous life adding to their uniqueness character and charm - along with what's detailed above, the bookends have had whatever was inside removed, so are not as weighty as they originally were.
