Vintage Crown Devon tea cup and saucer

A lovely tea cup and saucer set in mint green by Crown Devon pottery. They combine a gorgeous soft green colour with cream and gold gilt edges and handle. The plate is an unusual shape with an inbuilt biscuit dish and small lip to hold onto both, allowing the user to have both a cup of tea and biscuits standing rather than juggling dishes. The tea cup is marked Crown Devon on the base, and the plate is marked Crown Devon, A427 (shape number) and 1206. This set would make a perfect gift for a tea lover, these sets epitomise the glamour of the 1930s art deco / art nouveau period and would make an excellent addition to any stylish home. This is a vintage item and so may show signs of its previous life. There is very slight crazing on all pieces which is commensurate with age and doesn't detract from the tea set. There are no chips or cracks, and the gold is all in excellent condition. Please see photos for details. The tea cup is approximately 7cm in height and 8cm in diameter.
