Refurbished vintage wooden stool. Woodwork has been painted in a rich dark blue, that compliments the limited edition hand block printed fabric. The stool has been upholstered with environmentally friendly rubberised hair, before being covered with fire retardant calico and finished off with a limited edition Indian hand block printed cotton fabric. The heavy cotton was printed with herbal dyes by master artisans in Gujarat, India using hand-carved woodblocks and age-old techniques passed from generation to generation. The result is a lovely contemporary item of furniture, with more than a nod to the past. The stool is in sound vintage condition, with no breaks to the wood or loose joints.
