Vintage De Passille Sylvestre Enamel Trinket Dish

Vintage De Passille Sylvestre Enamel Trinket Dish with Wild Flower Design. Measurements are as follows ~ 7cm dia, 1cm depth Micheline de Passillé and her partner Yves Sylvestre were / are a couple of self-taught artisans from Quebec who experimented and innovated in the practice of copper, silver, and gold enamelling. Their Enamelware designs were gifted to visiting foreign dignitaries and were featured in high-profile Canadian fashion shows. During the 1970s, they became a model of a successful artisanal, artistic business, their work is considered exemplary and is highly collectible. This sweet little ring dish depicts a wild flower and will easily sit alongside more modern pieces. This piece is in good “superficial” vintage condition, but please note that there is very sadly a three teeny chips to the edge of the dish and a larger one on the base - goodness knows how someone managed to do this!! In an ideal world we would not sell pieces damaged in this way- but we couldn’t leave this little dish behind, and think that it can still be enjoyed and appreciated.
