Vintage Delft Small Lamp Base - Windmill Design w/ Country Homes - Ceramic, Hand Painted In Holland - Stamped To Base - Delft Blue / Blauw A charming bijou round Delft lamp base featuring a beautiful hand painted windmill and country home design. Produced in Holland, Netherlands, this fab lamp base could also be used as a bud vase (dry). The piece has a beautiful minty green hue to the glaze with fern leaf and hatching decorative touches to the top, back, sides and tapered base. The lamp based was produced specifically as is (and not a later conversion), apparent from the glaze on the inner holes at the top and rear base. At 10cm high, the lamp is quite small and lightweight so will require a small light shade and perhaps an internal weight to keep it steady. The lamp base features crazing all over and some small areas of glaze build up in the base of the circular depression where the main image is. There is also an area of dark blue speckling to the floral design on one of the sides and a small chip to the internal base (see final image).
