Vintage Domed Steamer Railway Trunk

This is a lovely characterful vintage/antique steamer or railway trunk. It has an unusual domed top and a lovely aged patina with remnants of the copper lacquer on the exterior; the beautiful gold lacquer on the interior is in great condition. There is a maker's mark stamped into the lid above the latch - Hinchcliff Dewsbury Fryer Perfect for decorative storage. The trunk has been thoroughly cleaned and protected with beeswax that will help preserve the lovely patina. As with all my vintage pieces this has bumps and blemishes that reflect its previous life adding to its character and charm - this has had an impact at some point on the top, resulting in a tiny split and indentation on the right edge (pictures illustrate this - please contact me if you'd like more images prior to purchase).
