This listing is for a vintage Ercol sideboard which was refurbished and painted in black from the Fusion Mineral Paint. Ercol is a company founded in the 1920's which is renowned for quality and designed for style and practicality and this is reflected in this beautiful piece. This particular one has been restored and then painted in a true black from Fusion mineral paint. The top was stripped and refinished to enhance its natural beauty. Our process involves much more than just a coat of paint! The doors and drawers are removed, these are then checked and trimmed to allow for several layers of paint to ensure a perfect final fit. Everything is then thoroughly cleaned and sanded back. The cabinet, drawers and doors are then primed, undercoated and painted using Fusion Mineral Paint. The solid wood top is stripped, sanded and then waxed. Several coats of lacquer are then applied for durability and protection. The cabinet interior is freshened up witth osmo oil.
