This delightful family of South African Ceramic Meerkats come from the Fenix pottery out of Cape Town. This trio have been glazed in gorgeous colours that harmonise with each other and they stand proudly with the alertness they are well known for. The Fenix pottery was founded by Lorraine Marincowitz and Louise Leibbrandt in 1988, they started out selling pottery from a small shop in Somerset West, a picturesque town 40 km from Cape Town, South Africa. An increase in demand made Fenix sell their products nationally and by the early 1990s with the growing production capacity, They then started selling internationally. Having outgrown their premises at the time, a new factory was built in 1997. Fenix offers products of popular African animals, marine fish, insects and nativity sets.
