Vintage Japanese Pottery Basket Style Tea Caddy with bright blue flowers and wicker handle. Measurements are as follows ~ Height to top of Handle 21cm Opening 11cm x 9cm, Base 11cm x 13cm Height to top of Lid 13cm We love the cheery Floral design of this cute storage jar - it would make a great tea caddy, but is a lovely ornamental piece. Sadly, there is no maker's mark, it is simply stamped ‘Foreign’ but we feel it is very much Japanese in style and would estimate it to be from the 1930s. As always, we have picked this piece as it would look equally at home in a retro or modern aesthetic. In good vintage condition - there are some teeny age related grazes to the surface of the ceramic, and age related discolouration- which we have detailed in our photography.
