This is a fabulous green rectangular planter with cherubs and claw feet. There is a lovely border of cherubs on all four sides of the piece which is an excellent size for the windowsill. Possibly French from the design and handmade. The glaze looks like metal in appearance and there is some rusting on the base. Small chip to the pot at the back and I just love the wonkiness of the sides of the planter. The claw feet are so gorgeous but does make it wobble but this could be fixed with a couple of felt pads. This is a vintage piece and there is wear to the inside of the planter too consistent with age. Dimensions Length 42cm including feet Width 14.2cm including feet Height 12.5cm Adds to any interior especially a period or farmhouse feel. So many uses as a decorative piece with or without plants. I think it would look particularly lovely with spring narcissus....more
