We chose these because of the stunning richness of colour and pattern - screaming late Mid Century ceramic! They're beautiful and functional pieces as useful now as they were when made. That is however, not what makes them special. Upon researching a bit deeper into them, we found them to be Gureenakilla Pottery, which is a neighbourhood in West Cork, Ireland. The area was famous for it's artisans and built a communiy around it. Artists Christa Reichel, John & Noelle Verling have been associated with the Gureenakilla pottery stamp, however not artist signature is on these pieces.
