This is a beautiful diminutive hand carved onyx demitasse cup, and it would be hard to describe the way it appears when you are holding it in person. Carved from a single piece of stone, it is very delicate and lightweight, with thin walls that allow light to shine through, revealing the striations and lines of the material. We love the little handle which is fashioned masterfully and has little facets. It has a translucent appearance, and is in good vintage condition with no breakages. It's colouration is varying shades of white which come from the natural variation in the stone. This looks lovely on a shelf, and would make a very nice gift for someone.
