Vintage Handmade Ceramic Dish with Hand Painted Antarctic Scene. Measurements are as follows ~ 11cm x 32cm Opening, 3cm Height, 8cm x 23cm Base We love the detail of this incredible Art Pottery piece, depicting an intriguing icy landscape of explorers arriving by boat, whilst a penguin looks on. The simple shape and smooth finish, it really is Studio Pottery at its finest. It would make a wonderful gift for an Antarctic enthusiast or wannabe explorer! It could also be a cute bedroom addition for any nature loving child’s bedroom. It has clearly been made by a wonderfully talented artist, and is initialled R R. As always, we have picked this piece as it would look equally at home in a retro or modern aesthetic. In excellent vintage condition - but please note that although this piece has no damage, the finish of the clay is not perfect, from when it was made. We have tried to detail this in our imagery.
