Vintage Hornsea Pottery, Bronte pattern small storage jars. Following the success of the Heirloom range, the Bronte range was introduced in 1972, featuring a distinctive pattern, It was launched with the tag ‘Hornsea introduces another Heirloom’. Designed by John Clappison, it was produced in a high glazed two tone brown with symmetrical green patterning. The design was inspired by the Yorkshire countryside and named after the famous Bronte sisters who had lived there. Original wood lids, refinished and seals replaced where necessary. Currently we have available: Small 1lb jars (plain, coffee, salt, sugar and tea) @ £28. each. Dimensions (approx): 11cm high x 12cm diameter. Lovely condition, no cracks, or chips. These are almost 50 years old, so may be some minor scratches, crazing and signs of use. We do have the medium and large sizes and also perfectly useable, more used condition, with the odd nick etc. The other sizes are medium (2lb) and large (3lb).
