The Brontë range was introduced in 1972 featuring a distinctive pattern, designed by John Clappison, of embossed and painted swirls on a brown background. This pattern was inspired by the natural beauty of the Yorkshire countryside and named after the famous Brontë sisters who hailed from that area.
