Egg cup by Hornsea Pottery in the iconic Saffron pattern. Following the success of the Heirloom range, the Saffron design was introduced in 1970. Designed by John Clappison, it features a distinctive pattern, of caramel-saffron colour circular flower motifs on a background of burnt orange. Internally finished in a soft cream colour. This egg cup is marked 1976, see last photo showing the base of the pot.. Dimensions (approx): 4cm high x 4.5cm overall width, base is 3.7cm overall. Lovely condition, no cracks, crazing or chips.
