Cutest little salt and pepper cruet in the form of a basket of fruit. A lovely example of Japanese Marutomoware majolica from the 1920s or 1930s. Lovely bright colours, a great piece of moon vintage kitsch Backstamped Marutomoware Made in Japan. The inside of the lids are stamped Japan. In good vintage condition with some minor wear commensurate with age and use. The design is not entirely practical, as the lids lift off, so making it impossible to shake out your salt or pepper!
