Vintage hand painted Liza Katzenstein Tall Cone Forest vase, signed and dated 2005 on the base. In perfect vintage condition. These cone vases are among Lisa’s oldest shapes and they were made to look like sheets of paper which have been twisted around to form counter balanced ovals. The designs for the tall cones fall into 3 categories, Abstract leaves, Forest, and Flowers. This particular one is a “Forest” one. Measures 29.5cm tall, 8cm wide and 6.5cm deep at the base Lisa is a Maiolica potter whose subject matter are the plants and landscapes that surround us. She studied at the Central School between 1976-79, and then at the Royal College of Art between 1980-83. After working as an independent designer of tableware, in 1999 she set up a workshop in Camberwell. Lisa has exhibited widely in the UK, and lives in Hastings....more
