Vintage Lucio Liguori Vase - Italian ceramic

A striking white vase by well-known Italian ceramic artist Lucio Liguori, based in Vietri, Italy. This pattern is called Pulcinella after a classic Neapolitan commedia dell'arte character whose costume has inspired the yellow and blue decoration around the middle of the vase. It consists of squares split into diagonal triangles of alternating blue and yellow with green dot accents. All of which have been smeared to give the impression of spinning or moving quickly. On the bottom it is signed Liguori x Vietri, Pulcinella. This piece would look great in a modern lounge with the understated style, or in a mid-century modern dining room with the fluid shape and elegant decor making a beautiful statement. A perfect house warming gift! This is a vintage item and so may show signs of its previous life. The vase is in excellent condition with no obvious flaws. There are no chips, cracks or crazing.
