Vintage oak lamp with yellow lampshade

Here we have a vintage oak style lamp with a retro yellow lampshade. It has a BHS sticker to the base. Probably from the 1980s era. The wood is oak in style but almost certainly a stained softwood. The lamp has a presence and has a strong architectural design. I’ve fitted a brand new retro style lampshade which features a pleated yellow chiffon type fabric. It casts a lovely warm light when lit. One photo shows the shade when lit and another when unlit. It reminds me of a miniature standard lamp! Speaking of size it measures about 22 inches tall and the shade is 12 inches at its widest. One photo shows it with a bottle of Champagne to give you an idea of scale. The light switch is on the bayonet fitting. Comes with a bulb. I may need to unscrew the lampshade before posting but it’s easy enough to screw back on. One last thing, I’ve had the lamp PAT tested so you can buy in confidence and be assured everything works as it should :)...more
