Vintage oak sideboard

Vintage oak sideboard having a galleried back over a single long drawer and two glazed cupboard doors having an internal shelf. This is flanked by two cupboard doors each of which are fitted with a shelf and this all rests on turned bulbous stretchered supports. This is an unusual shaped sideboard - and quite beautiful! There are carved mouldings to the centre of the galleried back and also to each door. There is also a decorative trim to the top with carved decorative detail flanking the glazed doors. The drawer and cupboard doors are furnished with decorative metal handles. This is a solid and sturdy piece and affords great storage. The sideboard is a lovely warm colour and has a great patina. There are some superficial marks here and there as is usual with a piece of this age. There is also a bleached area to the right hand side of the galleried back and a few ring marks to the top - but in fairness - it remains a beautiful piece that would fit in most surroundings and decor.
