Vintage Onyx Colibri Square Stone Ashtray 🚬

Carved natural stone ashtray c.1970s, crafted from an almost translucent onyx stone. Founded in the early 20th century, Colibri initially manufactured cigarette lighters, for which they became known. Determined to improve the old-style lighter, in 1928 Julius Lowenthal invents the world’s first working semi-automatic: the Swiss made, ‘Colibri Original.’ Square in shape with a smooth elliptical inner bowl and a unique veining pattern in earthy tones on the base, this Colibri marked ashtray is the perfect tabletop piece. Smoker or not, this piece would make a stylish coffee table edition. Perfect for collecting trinkets or holding keys, otherwise pop it on a bureau and use it as a desk tidy or paper weight.
