Tactile and eye-catching earthenware coffee / teapot by Prinknash pottery. It is made of their characteristic red clay with metallic glaze which has a gorgeous lustre sheen. Prinknash pottery was founded by Benedictine monks in Gloucestershire, England in the 1940s and continued to produce pottery until 1997. A wonderful hand thrown piece with a timeless design that would make an excellent addition to any coffee table. This is a vintage item and so may show signs of its previous life. There are a few small nibbles on the lid and a manufacturing error that has been glazed over. There is a chip measuring approximately 5mm on the bottom of the handle and a small one above it. Please see photos for details. It is approximately 12.5cm in height and 11.5cm in diameter, excluding the handle which adds another 3.5cm. The lid has a diameter of approximately 7.5cm.
