Vintage Prinknash large jug - Earthenware

Tactile and eye-catching earthenware jug by Prinknash pottery. It is made of their characteristic red clay with metallic glaze which has a gorgeous lustre sheen. Prinknash pottery was founded by Benedictine monks in Gloucestershire, England in the 1940s and continued to produce pottery until 1997. A wonderful hand thrown piece with a timeless design that would make an excellent addition to any kitchen or dining table. This is a vintage item and so may show signs of its previous life. There is a chip on the bottom measuring approximately 5mm where the manufacturing mark has chipped slightly. Please see photos for details. It is approximately 16cm in height and 10cm in diameter.
